Mission
Taiwanese American Foundation of Greater Seattle was
established to benefit the society through public service, cultural
awareness, and community togetherness. We hope to facilitate beneficial
interactions between cultures, understanding of the American Culture, and
raise the quality of life in the lives of our friends from Taiwan, and
those are interested in the Taiwanese American culture. Our Mission
Statements are:
| |
Raise awareness of the
Taiwanese American culture.
Increase the social benefits
for Taiwanese Americans.
Facilitate community
togetherness, especially amongst Taiwanese American immigrants. |
Taiwanese American Foundation of Greater Seattle has been approved of the
non-profit organization status. All donations are tax deductible. The
Seattle Taiwanese American Community Center is created by the Foundation,
and is responsible in planning and holding events and activities. Any, and
every one who is passionate about, or would like to learn more about
Taiwanese cultures is our client. We sincerely ask for your support and
participation.
The site for the Seattle Taiwanese American Community Center was purchased
in April, 2003. The present building is a culmination of remodeling and
construction work by three Taiwanese ladies, Chen-Chen Liou, Chun-Mei
Chen, and Cho-Fen Lee, as well as the invaluable financial support of Mr.
& Mrs. Chang-Nan Lin, and Dr. & Mrs. Chou-Chi Chen. The Seattle Taiwanese
American Center opening ceremony was held and celebrated on February 28,
2004.
At the present time, the Seattle Taiwanese American Community Center has
in its collection in excess of 3000 books, along with the latest in
Karaoke sound equipments, computers, culinary kitchen of professional
standards, as well as a spacious conference room. [top]
